With a winner there's always a loser

Only in competition. If we could work together, everyone would win.

That depends entirely if everyone wants the same prize.

Well obviously the concept of working together assumes everyone's goal/prize is the same, at least in a general way--peace, pursuit of happiness, betterment of humanity and all that.
If your prize is the harm of others, you would have to be the loser in that situation.
