WOuldn't get away with it though, if any of those fragments are found, and seem out of place, Police would be immediately suspicious if they're worth their salt.
I don't think they have an airbag, like you said. It could be covered by a rock but I don't see the srs symbol plus the center looks too small and round for a proper air bag. Either way a hard crash and they are still gonna get rocked.
But this car, to my eye, looks like it's modern enough to have an airbag.
Maybe I'm biased, as my first and only car didn't come with rear seatbelts, or shoulder belts up front, for that matter.
A car can look modern but still be pretty old, my (older) car is a 1991 but looks like a 99 inside as it has digital gauges and clean upholstery. I've also had cars that only had lap belts (my 76 crown Victoria and 84 monte carlo) in my opinion newer cars are putting in too many air bags, my 2008 has six of the blasted things, I'm actively scared I'm gonna get my head knocked off by one yet.
Let evolution takes it's course...
What exactly constitutes an "old type of car"?
