The banning is because of the "fake news" sentiment that the administration has...little do they know that information is unbiased and it's up to the outlet to be biased or not (ahem Fox and Breitbart) leaving no reason for banning (freedom of press for ya)They can record shots of the beginning and end... also if other media isn't limited to drawings, has there been any other outlet that has a video recording?

Isn't all news propaganda in one way or another though?
that means literally nothing and I'm not impressed... news stories will push popular stories the more they can (Benghazi and the emails of Hillary) for example....as he said, for ratings...that's how EVERY NEWS OUTLET WORKS.... also the fact that the Russian collision is being investigated doesn't mean that the concern isn't there...plus the guy was a producer for CNN health, not relevant to politics....his whole point is opinion based and not relevant to politics (he could be biased by being conservative)....CNN also did the responsible thing and discarded the people behind the incident, which is a good use of judgement... project veritas has also been accused of manipulating their videos and selling it as "leaks"
Trust no one when it comes to news. CNN and their opposite side of the news will all sell what their audience will buy. Take everything with a pinch of salt, and get as many angles to get your point of view on recent events. News outlets like Fox, CNN, MNSBC and all the others gain everything by getting you to trust them for everything, and despise everyone else even if they tell the truth.
Although in my opinion the Russia Collusion is a unicorn that someone is trying to prove exists. They keep trotting it out on stage and never really convince anyone solidly that the donkey with a stick on it's forehead is a mythical equine. They've done it to maybe about four people now and can't even solidly say, "This person sold all our national secrets to the KGB"
Dont think I'm suggesting everyone go watch Fox. What i'm saying is that if you watch CNN, you probably believe that Trump could get impeached because of collusion and obstruction. In reality, you're getting played and the CNN executives are laughing all the way to the bank. So you should indeed question everything and think yor yourselfe.
Hillary is a washington insider so the likelyhood of any wrongdoings getting prosecuted was vary small. Buth the insiders have been trying to crush Trump since he won the primaries. Given what you know about Trump's ego how do you think he'll respond??
Fyi emails, private server, Lynch/Clinton meeting are all getting reviewed again....
@tarotnathers13th I'm sorry... but at the very least he tried witness tampering by suggesting he had tapes of Comey. That's a felony. Even if there wasn't the pile of other shit along with it, that alone would be enough if the house had a democratic majority. The real onus for all this is now on Paul Ryan, he's the only guy who can actually start impeachment proceedings.. and apparently for him it's going to take nothing short of evidence of Trump handing over nuclear codes.
This whole thing is malarkey.
American Politics in action, a huge mess that no one has any idea on how to sort. Well, it's the best system of out a group of horrible systems, so I'll endure it for now.
Europe ain't any better Stream, and worse in some regards. Just like how America isn't any better. The EU rules from brussels dictating laws from politicians and council members that aren't elected from the states they rule, doesn't seem like an appetizing form of government.
There is a term for denying access to one specific news outlet that is reasonably on the level of the others because you don't like what they have to say.
The white house is public and not private and therefore is allowed to tell people not to film. And saying that he deny's a news source that he does not like for a pretty good reason as a facist tendency is pretty extreme. Not to mention you said it plural as if he has multiple parts of fascism to him.
He has several fascist tendencies, the stronger the better and the "we vs them". Also I don't really have any problem with the press making up stories because those stories will be debuncted and they will suffer the consequences. The question is: don't you have any concerns with the president constantly lying and spreading misstruths?
.
Besides the press is free and restraining it in any way is going to hurt democracy. Even though CNN is the worst media outlet in the USA besides satire "news" doesn't give the president the right to deny them to do their job.
.
You also said yourself that the house is public, that means he does not have the right or at least shouldn't deny one news source .
you can actually get in trouble for making up stories because that is called slander and is actually illegal. and stronger=better and we vs them is facist. You obviously have no idea what real facism is. Like i said if they are slandering him which they are then he does have the right to deny them.
they do have the freedom of press but when they use their freedom of press to slander then the consequence is to lose some of that freedom of press freedom is not without consequence of your actions.
There's a difference between reporting faulty information without their knowledge and actively spreading misinformation and slandering. I agree that a press that is slandering should be punished, but I hardly doubt CNN has actually done any severe slandering. And no, reporting on the Trump Russia collusion is not slandering. It's still being investigated and if the republicans are so mad at CNN for updating they are probably hiding something. If not they should shut the fuck up because it doesn't affect them in that case. If you are saying that CNN should be sentenced for slandering then so should almost every American news outlet too. Mistakes are made, propaganda is still quite common. Deal with it. Freedom of the press.

They don't deserve freedom. CNN has been caught too many times with bullshit stories. They truly are fake news and deserve what they get
freedom of everything means you can do or say anything but when that thing has consequences they get punished that is freedom i never said fox or msnbc shouldnt be punished but just because he is not punishing all of them does not mean cnn should get away free.
You are agreeing that they are fabricating and slandering the president of the United states and you are willing to excuse that because they are CNN? What is wrong with you.
So does every person with a blog or a youtube channel have a right to access the president and/or the briefing room?
.
If not, where do you draw the line on who should be allowed?
.
How much disrespect for an elected president of the United States would have to be displayed before you think it would be ok to kick them out of the briefing room?
Disrespect, though annoying, needs to be allowed. It is their freedom. As long as they aren't disrupting briefings, like a person with a blog or youtube channels might.
Fyi, in order to gain press access to the president you have to get a congressional pass that is approved by a committee that is elected by reporters. Among other requirements is this :
.
"congressional reporters must demonstrate that they work for a publication whose "principal business is the daily dissemination of original news and opinion of interest to a broad segment of the public" and is "editorially independent of any institution, foundation or interest group that lobbies the federal government." The White House also requires an additional Secret Service background check. "
So letting in "anyone who wants" is neither realistic, a right, allowed, or even appropriate.
The reason for that language is to attempt to get unspun imformation to the public.
CNN is quickly becoming a spin factory. And they're also quickly becoming irrelevent.
I agree that CNN are shit, but if they're gonna be put to these standards then so should Trump. He's lying on almost a daily basis and yet Trumptards defend him to their last breath.
I don't defend CNN's lies, stop making a strawman argument. All American media is more or less bad, biased or propaganda. I just think that if you're gonna hold a standard to the media then you should also hold a standard to your idiot president.
I don't care about comparisons, he has lied nearly every day of his presidency. I don't care what Clinton has done, she is a low standard to hold the president of the United States to.
Maybe someone who knows how to act like a proper president. Replace him with another republican with the same ideals, I don't care, as long as he behaves.
Wow, you're really bad at interpreting stiff, aren't you? I mean Trump has already done so many dumb and borderline illegal shit. The congress can throw him out any moment on several grounds. Problem is they don't want to.
There's no grounds. Nancy Pelosi, the queen of Democratic congress said herself there's nothing. But help me interpret. On what grounds is Trump susceptible to impeachment?
1. While accusing a former president of wiretapping might be outlandish, it does not constitute grounds for impeachment.
2. He's literally just running his business.
3. Trump's "ban", which was actually Obama's list of terrorist hotbeds, does not prohibit Muslims who are already in country to practice their religion. And the other billion Muslims can still get in. He just wanted to put a hiatus on travel from those countries to create a better vetting process while reducing risk from terror attack.
4. Trump wants honest coverage, not favorable coverage. The only news outlet he has not let in is CNN because they slander him.
5. Russia? Really? There's no evidence. Even CNN doesn't believe what CNN is saying. Another reason for why he doesn't want them in his press conferences.
EDIT: Also, the writer was Secretary of Labor in the Clinton administration and lives in Calfornia. It's obvious that he's butthurt about Hillary losing and looking for every opportunity to bash the president.
"Just running his business" no, he s abusing his power as president for personal gain. It even quotes the constitution that says that it's illegal. Stop making up bad excuses. And I didn't write that article, I would exclude the Russia part, but it is confirmed that they tried to interfere. What effect it ha d and if Trump colluded is still unknown. The news part is not only banning CNN, you just if tired the part about how he calls the media the "enemy of the public"? For the travel ban I don't really know that much, but he's essentially banning Muslims and has talked down to other races and religions before.
Yes but HOW is he abusing his power? Do you know what happened when he met with those foreign officials? And I'm pretty sure that article of the Constitution refers to the US stealing things of value, not making deals or accepting gifts. CNN is just a business. They only operate for ratings and money. He's not banning Muslims. It's not even a ban. He tried to put a HIATUS on travel from TERRORIST HOTBEDS. He wasn't trying to ban ALL Muslims. He's trying to keep the US safe from terrorism, and that's part of his job. Is that so bad? But yeah keep letting in all those "refugees" who've increased your rape statistics to first in the world (1472% increase since you've started letting "refugees" into Sweden) according to the UN and who've also created 55 no go zones where Sharia Law rules your land.
I never said that letting in too many refugees was good. Once again strawman argument. C'mon man, you need to listen to what I'm saying if you don't want to sound stupid. Too many refugees is bad, but banning traveling. Normal people just because they come from a country? That's overkill. But Trump wants America to be like North Korea so I guess this is just the first step. And still, he wasn't just making business. He was using (abusing) his power as president for personal gain. That's exactly what that article refers to. He should not be using his power as president to have personal gain. You can't squirm out of this, your beloved constitution has it clearly written. Also if you're gonna pump out those numbers and statements, please cite a source. It's already hard enough to believe anything a Trump supporter says. Im not saying you're wring, but I need sources. Especially the 1400%.
