I don't understand the point of this... if you're prepared you can relish in the fact that if you're ever stuck in a situation requiring those skills you'll be fine and enjoy the fact that others will not be fine. Tech, is keeping most humans from learning survival skills but many urban humans will probably never have to learn them, unless they willingly want to go out of the urban.

its not devolution, its adapting (as in survival of the fittest), why waste energy, its what evolution is about. plus that would be cultural rather than physical or biological evolution
