Depends on the teacher. I live in the U.S., and my teacher only taught us about why America had to drop the bombs on Japan. Though she was particularly bitter about Pearl Harbor... In Germany, the holocaust isnof course taught more. The Germans don't want it to happen again and they want to make sure everyone knows how wrong it was.
Yeah, from grade six on it felt like men's whole history was the Holocaust, we hardly did anything else. It is an important part of modern history though, so I thought it was taught everywhere (even if not to the same extend as here)
