When a poor person complains about being poor, they're labelled as just being bitter. When a man talks about men's rights, people think he is just bitter. I guess a lot of the countries that have more equal rights are in the west where there are more whites.
I'd assume that he was primarily talking about Britain, since he lives there. Everyone talks about America, but usually they talk about their own country. Unless he said that it was America, we'd assume Britain. They're on similar levels are rights anyway. He's probably talking about foreign countries. And the bias outside of laws, and in people's minds. Gender roles and such, which affect both genders.
I, at least, was referring to women in the US. I am not blind; I know there’s sex inequality around the world. But when you advocate for it in western countries only, and don’t go to those countries themselves where women’s rights is actually a problem, then I makes me think that you’re advocating for something that women already have in western countries. But yes, I should’ve had a keener eye.
I don't think he's advocating for western countries only; if you were, that would be against the whole principle of the thing. It's also possible that he is trying to change minds rather than laws. Harmful thoughts. Like assuming that she could not possibly be the CEO; no, she is the assistant. Like doubting his passion for cooking because it's 'feminine'. The fact that he says women and girls specifically makes me think that he's talking about other countries, where they are more disadvantaged.
All you people talk about him raising international issues.. would he do that in those countries?
It's easy to preach in a civilised place where people have reformed and are empathetic, but it does not work since the actual issues are not happening there..
No offense but you sound a bit like a butthurt MGTOW.

Genital mutilation, division of property after divorce, child custody, legal exploitation of child support through rape, no male rape centers, men are more likely to be homeless, commit suicide, and technically are needed to reproduce(science can now make babies using two women, but will always be a girl).
Just a few.
Yes those are problems that need to be addressed, for sure. But none of these problems displays a lack of rights, legally that is. That's what guest was referring to, I think.
It amazes me how we focus on perceived lack of rights in the west, like women's salaries even though the numbers compare different jobs with different amount of time in the jobs. We completely ignore subjugation and oppression that's in the holy book of Islam, which they gladly enact. Such excitement that women can now drive in Saudi Arabia! We don't recall that women can't go out in public without a male escort, and that raped women are routinely killed for becoming "ruined."
But in the west, let some guy refer to women as girls, or float the idea that there might be a biological difference between the sexes and watch out!
What fucking rights?
If not, I retract my point.
