my concern is, with a large budget, we'll only get 10 or so episodes per season

All good tv shows get around 12/14 episodes per season so it's not a bad thing

I never lost hope. Almost everyone said that it won't get a TV series.

Yeah, the Silmarillion wasn't exactly an easy read. Worth it, but damn.

This is either going to be the best thing ever, or the biggest travesty to hit the internet.

No, I'm afraid nothing can be worse than the Percy Jackson or Inkheart movies.

We don't talk about that. Or The Last Airbender. Or the Percy Jackson movies. They have all been banished to the depths of darkness.

Oh he's absolutely nuts, but it's interesting how he's the only fella who can hold the ring without going crazy

He'd literally forget about it, and then Sauron would win.

I hope that it's not a total disaster like the Hobbit movies.

I read this today, Amazon paid AU$329 million for the rights to the Lord of the Rings, and it's been estimated that in the 5 season run could cost AU$1.3 billion to make

The books are a little boring in the start (with all the family relations and geography), but once you get through that they are one wild adventure! Best of luck!
