Well, knowing how to use your knowledge is intelligence. You can increase your intelligence over many years, yes, but in general you are stuck with your current intelligence. If you have to be taught everything, then you aren't intelligent, just knowledgeable.

Well as long as it works I don't think it matter if one is truly intelligent or just taught to act intelligent.
