I actually got to ask two blind born persons exactly this question. They dream in noises and haptic, even scents. And they said sometimes it's hard to tell it from reality when they wake up (if it's a realistic dream)
He would go unconscious which is different than just being asleep. Unconsciousness is a state which occurs when the ability to maintain an awareness of self and environment is lost. It involves a complete or near-complete lack of responsiveness to people and other environmental stimuli. Whereas a person who is asleep will respond to outside stimuli and can be roused an unconscious person cannot.
