You can dry them with towels or paper towels...that's what I do sometimes. I just don't like clutter and things being out that's why I say put your personal stuff away. I don't even leave the dishes out to air dry
You are supposed to sanitize it by boiling it after you are done using it, I think. But I agree, a little bit gross. However, probably a good thing to have "just in case" (like natural disaster or war or something where you might not have access to better options).
So its function is to catch the blood... how well does it work? Do you just pour out the blood every now and then, as opposed to changing pads/tampons when you need to?
They actually work very well and hold more than tampons. You just fold it, insert it, make sure it unfolds and sits just below the cervix, most will seal by themselves but sometimes a little twist is required. You can wear them longer than tampons depending on the flow. Removal can be messy but Yes, you just pour the blood out, then clean and reinsert. And if you use the disposables you can have mess free sex
Huh. Thank you klymaxx and floridaconverse. It's neat that they hold more than tampons - maybe I'm not accurately judging the size (because of the rice grains for scale instead of a banana), but my first thought was that I'd have to empty it every hour on my heavier days. Cool!
Seeing as they hold up to 1 ounce you should only need to empty it twice a day. But keep in mind that the fuller the cup gets the messier it is to remove because you have to pinch it to break the seal
I can't believe anyone living in the age of the World Wide Web doesn't know what a Mystery Science Theater 3000 Cup is.
