They intend to commit acts of terror against a government trying to curtail their own power. Just to protest what private corporations MIGHT do with what they built in the first place.

You don't have any idea what you're talking about. In fact they are protesting against a totally corrupt government who is trying to allow companies to make citizens pay for stuff they have already paid for. A good way to solve the problem would be to regulate the relations between ISP and pure content providers like Netflix. But rather than even considering to let super well doing corporations participate in costs, they are scheming ways to have everyone pay for it, except these corporations. Privatize profits, socialize infrastructure, the only way these vultures know.
