As a veteran, I must say this is surprisingly accurate.

A private might know better than a lieutenant, but only a more powerful sarge knows better than the sarge.

It's like there are two different types are Army. I can see where this example would apply and I know soldiers that would agree 100% but this wouldn't be what my experience was like. Granted I was in intel and we had our own company so maybe I was in the exception rather than the rule.
