The reverse does not apply. Since a fuckton of countries have laws which make it illegal to pay someone less if that person has the same qualification as someone else. So if you are female or an apache with an b.sc. in biotech +1year work exp. then the company has to pay you the same as a male counterpart. But if you work only 50% OR without overtime then you can not expect to have the same salary as an another person. The model-example is btw the same as with actors. If you are less popular or in demand than an another imp then you have a smaler paycheck.
A degree is a specific type of qualification.
A GCSE, a Complete Apprenticeship, a degree, qbe (qualified by experience) are all types of qualifications.
So you can have a degree, but that doesn't make you qualified ie. A degree in Physical Sciences doesn't make you qualified for a position in network management...
Usually jobs list off the qualifications they want, something that is relevant to the position.
I misspoke a little, i'll clarify. What i ment was that posessing a degree in no way makes you qualified. It's an indicator that someone might be qualified but thats all.
No, that’s actually exactly what it means. What I think you are getting at is qualified for a position doesn’t mean competent to perform the duties of that position.
If I get a Master's in Physical Sciences, and apply for a job that requires a Master's in Physical Sciences, I am qualified.
Whether I am suited for the job is something that is determined in screening (work sample usually) or my actual performance on the job.
Well yeah, it’s because more people would rather see women as models than men. Like porn, there’s a bigger demand for women rather than men. Or Hollywood where males are paid more (usually) for the people that’ll rather watch their movies.
Okay. So what are men doing about it? Lobbying like women do? Protesting like women do? Working to change it like women do? Or absolutely nothing, because they don't actually care about underpaid men in an industry and are only bringing it up to try to shut down another group's complaints?
"Okay. So what are men doing about it? Lobbying like women do? Protesting like women do? Working to change it like women do? Or absolutely nothing, because they don't actually care about underpaid men in an industry and are only bringing it up to try to shut down another group's complaints?" Well that sounds like an invitation to social suicide. Look up MRA´s! How much false informations are there about them? Or look up the "Redpill documentary" and the reaction to it espacially in australia. Then you know what happens if they try to change something relatet to men.
MRAs don't try to do anything to support other men. They spend most of their time attacking feminists and "exposing" problems they do nothing to try and solve. A pay disparity is a very real issue, you should get paid for the work you do. Trying to ruin a women's night viewing of Wonder Woman is a bullshit issue of the type MRAs like to do to pretend they care about other men.

Then what do you call people who advocates for men's rights?

Feminists, among others, because they know a society that's better for women than today, will be better for men as well. What you mean is "men's privileges".

Tell that to higher male suicides, no male rape centers, higher military and gang deaths, and the double standard of how men can be objectified but not women.

I know your constant spasmodic attempt to play victim will prevent you from even trying to understand what I'm saying, but that is exactly what I'm talking about. Feminism is there to help men, but too many just cling to their ancestral privileges.

You have yet to prove that modern feminism will attempt to help men.

You're just proving my point, so why would I even try?

1. Why do you think I have a constant spasmodic attempt to play victim? I'm not asking you to feel sorry for me or the people's side I'm on. I'm asking you to give me a an argument.
2. I know there are feminists who are out there that are for men, but I'm talking fourth-wave, widely known, and most vocal part of feminism. Y'know "men are sexist, racist and god forbid you're white or straight" kind. The one that makes traction.
Read the articles.
EF literally said I need to learn to dump all of these things that made men men in history.
Guy's guide based a man literally on stereotypes(some of which aren't even true) so let me go down the list and tell you what's what.
1. Be physically strong. What is wrong with this? You don't have to be bulging with muscles, you just have to be able to swing a punch or hold a gun.
2. Be aggressive. Hmm, I thought men were to contain our emotions.
3. Be competitive. If no men were competitive, we wouldn't have CEOs. You literally have to be competitive to get anywhere in this world. I don't see why this is harmful.
4. Swear a lot. If you can't control how much you swear, you are seen as childish in the face of someone who hasn't cursed once.
5. Avoid feelings. This one I have an issue with. Men crying are seen as weak, wich I'm fine with, but now talking with a close male friend about your issues is considered gay, which I'm not okay with. So I can agree with you, (Cont.)

but to an extent.
6.Having sex with as many women as possible. Bragging about however women you've had sex with is usually in context of dick-measuring. These kinds of guys are called chads and aren't exactly made out to be the best(or they have their limelight, and are knocked out, see Wolf of Wall Street, this guy fits all of these stereotypes and more, and I don't personally see him as a good man, and neither should you).
7. Be able to support their family on their own. Yes. Why is this a fucking problem if you can support a family alone? I don't mind having the wife work, in fact I insist because if I'm gone, who'll support the kids?
8. Enjoy watching and participating in sports and violence. Guys just like sports and killing shit. If it's not for you, then why condemn men for doing so? But I can see the point here. Taking it too far(hurting people, innocent non-edible animals, or killing the aforementioned) is just cruel.
9. Leave menial tasks to women. Cooking and cleaning(cont)

are usually for women who are housewives and take care of the children while the man makes money, and I don't mind that. But that's because of equal work. If a man and his wife are both working, they both have to take care of the house.
10. Not participate in anything feminine. Alright? Unless he wants, he shouldn't have to do anything that he doesn't like. And isn't it considered uber- manly to do these things for his daughter?

You forgot this:
"But these are unrealistic expectations.
Not every single man fits this criteria, as it were, of being of man.
I bet that you disagree with some, if not all, of the expectations of being a man. Right?
And the list does go on, the same as it does for women.
So gender roles hurt all genders — not just women.

Read that. And I say I acknowledge that and this article told me things I didn't know, paternity for instance. But my point still stands. This wasn't the sect of feminism I was talking about. There are different types of feminists, and I do understand these ideas you're presenting. Unless there's something that I'm not understanding(seriously, lay it out) Then I don't think we're too far from agreeing with each other.
Maybe it's because the modelling industry forces young women to starve themselves to near death and profits from it? And guys are less likely to end up in a job like that
There’s a lot of good points in this list, but coming from one one who does a yearly report on the wage gap, I can assure you it most certainly does exist.
When you look at all jobs from entry level admin members to high level execs there’s a very clear favour towards men. With the average male wage in a job sector being significantly higher than females in Australia (and assumably the rest of the world)
Because they do less Important work, work that anybody else could do with minimal training, and work that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.
As an employed male I think the same thing every weekday morning.

I feel ever so sorry for you guys (excluding @scatmandingo) and as usual little Zerocluepie is the most excited. I guarantee you: ^ guest is a male troll who knows how to offend a bunch of anxious boys. He preys on you kids, this place is an all-you-can-eat place for trolls. So sad.

I tried to communicate with you, but then here you are, being a bitch as usual.
Good luck, I can let go of this, Braindead.
Anyone mentally older than 12 knows how trolls work. And chakun, I didn't even deny I was stupid, so.. what does that make you? Not smart, that's for sure.
