Someone else mentioned animal reincarnation, and we can't rule out insects, plants, so on- as well as the possibility of life on other worlds and intergalactic reincarnation. That said- do also factor in that this assumes all available souls are on earth (or the "material realm") at once and there aren't many more in "reserve rotation" such as some form of temporary paradise reward, a "limbo" or other set up- and it assumes souls can't be created, partitioned, or otherwise increased from a default value. So I'm going to say there is insufficient information to follow this line of logic. OH! Addition: this also ignores theories that we are all just a piece of a divine being which would mean souls are infinite, or that there are only a few (or 1) soul and every person you meet is a version of you. Time doesn't necessarily flow in a linear fashion as we perceive it, And we don't actually understand the structure of reality well enough to say otherwise.
The idea that human spirit is limited to one body even over the course of a lifetime is a creation of ego. Each human is a leaf in a forest and spirit is the air we breath.

the idea of reincarnation is that what you are reincarnated as is a result of your previous life. if you're a good person, you'll either transcend to nirvana or become another human, but if you're a shit person, you'll become a tree or a cockroach (something lower, you get it)
For some sects of Buddhism, there are other realms within the universe in which souls can be born depending on karma and all of that sort. There are a vast number of souls that we on Earth just don't have on our radar
Bleach-> Limited souls that sometimes become Hollows. Good people move on to the Soul Society, Bad to Hell. Quincys perma-kill Hollows resulting in a potential loss of all souls with no chance of renewal.
