When I had to have a clear backpack, girls were given the courtesy of having a smaller regular bag inside for " feminine products " so we'd just hide shit in there
I don't know how many times I've read about clear backpqcks but it never crossed my mind that it was really a thing. How fucked up does anything have tp become before clear backpacks
My schools had more of a dude's wanting to be in gangs so they gotta watch out for drugs and knives problem rather than trying to deter shooters. It started in like 5th grade and stayed until middle school and after that we were no longer allowed to have any backpacks.
No one really carried pencil cases but those just couldn't be over a certain size in general.
I'd just stop bringing stuff to class besides a pencil if they tried to make me use a clear backpack back in HS. Nevermind that my locker was in such a shit position relative to my classes.
That's what most people did. Just a folder and some paper and pencils, maybe together in a binder ?
It really sucked when they expected us to carry all our textbooks all the time like ... clear backpacks can barely handle a couple binders, not all this other shit
By second semester senior year of HS I just had my DS, a pencil and a notebook and I had one of those sachet-like backpacks. At that point I didn't need any of the books anymore, either I had finished all the work in the class (computer class, forgot the name), Already knew it (AP US History), borrow a book (AP english lit), or just didn't need anything (basketball and dual credit economics). I had out periods for period 1 and 2, so I didn't show up that semester until like 10:30 and then every other day I left at 12 since the duel credit class was right after lunch, then the computer class and then basketball. I talked my computer class teacher into letting me go "chill in the library and work on other stuff" since I had already done all the work... but I just fucking left. My basketball coach didn't care anymore at that point; he had been my coach since 2nd grade and was just like "if you want to come in and help coach, that's fine, if not, do whatever... I'm not taking role".
Hey at least you get to wear backpacks back in middle School we were no longer allowed to bring them to school because some stupid kid brought a big bag of sugar and a fake gun he made his friends believe it was cocaine and thus his friends telling everyone that around the school. The school staff heard about it and went to his PE locker and found it in his backpack. They called the police and shut down the school for the remaining of the day. When they realized it was fake they immediately took action and prohibited the use of backpacks since then. Stupid gets what stupid wants.

"What you can do it stop lying to me. I see it in your backpack."
