Not really, they were once good for pest control and I believe the Aztecs use to actually breed them for food. They are still an abomination on principle
That argument is like saying it's okay to shoot someone in the face with a bb gun, every time you see them, because they're less likely to die than if you shoot them in the shoulder with a real gun once. And it's a a damn lousy excuse to use to not train or accept responsibility for your dog.
I'm sure there are some bad pit bulls out there, but at the end of the day, it falls on the owner 90% of the time to make certain WHATEVER breed of dog they own is properly trained, socialized, and contained, according to its temperament. If you don't know how, then maybe don't start with a dog like a pit bull that's already suffering from a horrifying reputation, due mainly to people who wanted to exploit them or didn't understand what they were getting into. But don't get a yappy little demon rat with an attitude and write off it's displays of aggression just because it's small and pathetic in comparison.
A few years ago when I was about 11, my neighbor's chihuahua hopped through a hole in the surrounding fence, attacked my dog, then bit me in the ankle when I tried to get it to piss off.
I've never met a nice, or even nonaggressive fur maraca. There's one is my apartment complex that goes after every kid it sees, its the only animal I've ever kicked because it went after my daughter in her stroller. It even tries to go after my dog when she's on the patio. I would say I wish it would actually make it over the wall, but I doubt mine would give it what it deserved unless it was actually threatening my daughter or me. Damn well behaved pittie.
The problem, besides genetic defects due to inbreeding, is that owners don't train their small dogs right. If a large dog acted like a small dog you would punish it so why aren't you punishing the small dog for the same behavior. I've met plenty of small dogs that were trained and were good family dogs. You can't let a small dog get away with bad behavior simply because they're tiny.
I was buying shit from a local store and I saw this chihuahua, I don't pile Chihuahuas much but a dog is a dog
So I approached it slowly while doing that dog calling sounds and it started barking like a demon or like a chihuahua :/
As I was paying the shit, it jumped toward me barking (yk what Chihuahuas do)
I raised my eyebrow and walked toward to do "what?" And it immediately stepped back in fear
.
Never get why those tiny creatures are so angry about and why do they think they can attack me??? One kick and the little bitch will be dead af
