If it bothers you to the point where you can't sleep and feel like your flesh is begging to be ripped from your body till you get up and fix the tiles till they are perfect than yes you have OCD. Or as my cousin who suffers from on an extreme level, CDO because that is alphabetical.
there are many ways OCD can show itself and not uncommonly it shows very minor in many aspects. It's entirely possible that someone who is bothered by that misplaced thing for a moderately small amount of time has OCD. Mine is almost completely numbers based. Something being not alphabetical won't bother me but fucking up putting deodorant on in the correct 7x4x4 pattern and having to start over multiple times when getting ready in the morning or washing my hands in the wrong order or in the wrong counts and having to start over will fuck me up anywhere from 30 minutes to the rest of the day or anything digital on a scale that shows the numbers, like TV volume, being anything other than a multiple of 5 will cause me discomfort until i can verify for a fact that its fixed and if someone else puts it to a different number depending on how bad it is that day i could fix it and check it just the once while I'm changing it or maybe I'll end up checking it either 4 or 7 times.
O I full understand what you are saying. For my cousin she once was late to work because she could not properly kiss her husband goodbye in the morning. She told me she was almost an hour late. She said in her mind if she didn't kiss him just right she felt something might happen to him and she will forever be damaged by the fact her kiss goodbye was not right.
Her number is 6 2 3. She comes from a family of six kids like me and. Her mom is the second oldest of the six kids and so is she and she had 3 because 6 divided by 2 is 3. So everything has to be 6 2 or 3 she never does anything ending in 0 it means zero nothing so she doesn't do 0. It was so bad when her son and daughter turned 10 she wrote on the cakes 8+2 years old. She never leaves the house if the day ends in 0 and if it is raining on an 0 she never leaves her bed.
Luckily she works in her Mom's my aunts office so she can call in.
I like to joke that its my grandfather's fault that I'm like this cause he'd constantly yell at me of things like "put the same damn thing in the same damn place every damn time" and the fact that he's the one that taught me of my culture in which the numbers 4 and 7 are the most important and are repeated in literally all the stories and traditions. Funny enough when i was really little i can also remember him telling me if I kept insisting that I sit in the same place every time i'd get OCD.
I thumbs up on posts and comments on this site, whether or not I agree with or like them, simply to make them even numbers or divisible by 5. If I like a comment but it hasn’t received a thumbs up yet, I can’t bring myself to give it one because then... it would just have the number 1 next to it.
