Smoke bubbles bouncing on water

Air is less dense than water. So the air wants to float upwards, whilst the mixture for the bubbles wants to fall, thus causing the bouncing motion. You generally don't see it when blowing standard bubbles because it is too small(not a lot of air inside)... These bubbles are big, thus more air... hence more of the "smoke go bong"
