Meanwhile, dust is irreparably infused inside my camera lens so every picture is gross and blurry

Almost all phone cameras these days have an option to change the resolution of photos taken. Typically, Android has it within the camera app, while Apple has it in the settings.

I email pictures to my boss. I'm a journalist. I don't have a high-quality camera and have to use my phone.

Emailing pictures from your phone isn't unusual in a lot of situations as often times that's the only camera available

Emailing photographs or pictures maintains it's quality. When sending a picture via text or whatsapp or other instant messaging the resolution is decreased each time as the file size needs to be small enough to send. So if ai wanna share pics with someone but I don't want it to become grainy then email is best.
