If somebody is in a situation where they require CPR, you are not liable if you are trained in CPR. Also, if somebody requires and AED you have to remove all clothes from their upper body, bra included.
sure, we've all seen the CPR course videos and taken the course (not to mention that good samaritan laws dont exist everywhere), but we've also been exposed to the horror stories of men being falsely accused of rape or harassment over something blown way out of proportion. while I don't disagree that a person in need of aid should be provided aid, the point in the article shows the risks of rampant "feminism" where people start to be afraid of interacting with women on the grounds that it's misconstrued into something that could harm them.
Shit I read that some groups wanna do away with the Good Samaritan law. So if you save or try to save a life an you hurt them in some way. You can get sued for it. They say people need to be held responsible for their actions. They can’t be “trying” to help an then hurt people then can’t be touched cause they were trying to save a life. They need to be able to be sued. What kind of shit is that!!!
You aren't doing cpr right if you don't risk cracking a rib. You have to put that much force into it. It's not a situation of "they pressed to hard and broke the rib." It's a situation of "their bones were too weak to withstand the amount of force required to make this person stay alive"
Ummmm...... yeah I believe ya. But I was just stating that if you do CPR an crack or bruise a rib you could be liable for it an be sued. Cause from what I heard they are trying to do away with the Good Samaritan Act that would cover you from such bullshit law suits.
“Ms! Do I have your consent to perform CPR!!?
*woman lies there dying*
“Ms! without your verbal consent I can’t help you. Ma’am! Consent cannot be implied, inferred or assumed. It has to be communicated in a manner that is concise, clear and irrefutable in a court of law; if not verbally possible.

“Karen! Why didn’t you help her? You’re a god damn EMT. You’re job is literally helping people to not-die”
@unklethan Hah. You are probably right. Obviously I meant regarding first responders. The same goes for unaccompanied minors and people with altered mental status but we always try to have police with us on the rig for cases like that. Especially with a female patient and male EMT situation.
"men are pigs and rapists if they touch women without consent"
hmmmm.....
