I had the same thought. I had NO idea about the smog in Thailand. I knew that it was like Mexico, with one part being slums and the other being a tourist's heaven, but I didn't realize how bad. I only knew that the air pollution in China was so terrible that people had to limit time outdoors and wear masks. That's so disturbing. What have we done to our poor Earth?
You should not use FSas a news source. Just like you should not confuse late night comics with journalists. (@matthewg ;)). You should take the story and look it up on the BBC or Reuters or AP for the rest of the info. Memes about current events are not “news” and are almost always made by an activist rather than a journalist, all activists have an agenda. Most US journalists are now activists.
I'm reminded of how often I'm told by people who are pro-trump that I should watch Fox News to get "both sides of the story", or something similar (little do they know, I already do), while they conveniently forget how often they've pulled the whole "fake news" BS, or in some other way professed, unprompted, that other news outlets aren't worth anyone's time.
I don’t watch televised media. I catch clips on internet news stories. We couldn’t afford a ridiculous cable or satellite bill anymore and switched to Roku and Fire Stick for entertainment and internet for news. The side effect is that I don’t recognize the late night people and new tv show stars because I don’t see their shows or commercials.
Awareness is key
