I’d be curious to see what his options are in civil court since criminal courts aren’t equipped for this. Could he sue for loss of income and emotional distress for example?
She got a $1.5 million dollar settlement from the state. They are now suing her back for $2.1 million. He should be able to sue her as well. Hopefully the movie about this whole nightmare will net him some money.
This is kind of what happened, but not really. She didn't confess on social media, and he wasn't guaranteed a carer in the NFL. There's a movie about it, called Brian Banks, coming out on August 9th, 2019.

Nearly? The man lost 6 years of his life spending it in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. She stole 6 years of his life regardless if he ever played football, he’s behind in life and will struggle to get a job or start a family.
Yeah... nearly. He has time to recover and plenty of people who sympathize. What happened was fucked up, no doubt, but I stand by "nearly" because I have faith in humanity.
