Ah, yes, I remember this witch.
'
She blamed the boys for being "reckless riders." As near as I've seen so far the most reckless thing they were doing was riding 3 abreast.
-The boys were wearing reflective clothing
-She struck the victim from behind
-There is a lawyer claiming there is evidence that she was both speeding AND texting when she hit him
-Her husband was driving in the car behind her
-According to witnesses, many of them were detained and required to stay for several hours for questioning while Sharlene and her husband were allowed to leave.
-There were no drugs or alcohol found in any of the boys' system
-She was not asked to take a breathalyzer
-Her husband is a police officer.
-No charges were ever filed against her.
'
It is now suspected that the investigation itself was not only mishandled, but pretty much barely even existent.
"Sharlene Simon, “sustained serious and permanent injuries to important physical, mental and psychological functions” "???
Hell nah, the damage was already there - mostly mental

Her backwards logic:
"statement of claim filed alleges the driver, Sharlene Simon, “sustained serious and permanent injuries to important physical, mental and psychological functions” following the October 2012 accident in Innisfil, Ont.
It says her “enjoyment of life has been irretrievably lessened.”

I'm not fully sure how they came to that conclusion, but that's where we're at.

Additionally:
-The family is also suing Sharlene and her husband for negligence
-The father of the victim has since passed away
Hell nah, the damage was already there - mostly mental
