I did read that there was going to be some issue with restoring the roof as the beams used originally from the 13th century were most likely from trees 300+ years old. There are no old growth forests left in France with trees big enough to replace those lost.

One minor side note to their post, while yes most of the stone roof (tops of the ribbed groin vaults) under the wood roof is okay, some sections did collapse from the weight of the burned out wood falling on them
