If you think about it he passed along the same parts he himself probably got from his own parents. And when the kid is grown he will pass on the parts his dad gave to him.
So in other words we will live forever as long as we are willing to do anything for our kids.
Unfortunately, it seems that the last part of maturity that comes along is appreciation for the sacrifices made by parents over the years. I had an idea as a teenager, but it was around 25-26 years old that I really understood.
Same, but then that appreciation just grows with every life phase I go through. They were the most unconditionally loving, sacrificing and admirable people I've ever known.
So in other words we will live forever as long as we are willing to do anything for our kids.
