I’d hire you- I mean, I’d need to see a few character sheets from a campaign or two as a formality and just so the team can know you aren’t messing around, but that’s a solid skill set.

i dont really have any character sheets to show that arent barebones npcs. Never been a player, always been the dungeon master so its mostly just a bunch of statblocks minus the unnessesary information like random racial skill in profession mining that arent worth mentioning

It’s sad. On the one hand- everyone wants to jump to a seasoned position without the seasoning. I can’t count the number of greenies with fancy paperwork I’ve ran across who have no idea not just simple things like being on time or acting professional, but how to actually interact with coworkers to accomplish things or even do the job they have the paper skills for but haven’t actually done. On the other though- if you start at the bottom now days you can’t likely afford to get by. Not only have waged stagnated and decreased- but the entire process of spending 5-10 years or more and “working up” from an entry level job with steady promotions and raises while learning the skills that get you to the next level on the job has been destroyed by old farts.

So I don’t blame the kids- by default someone without experience is likely to suck. You’re supposed to invest in employees. Take ones with potential who don’t yet have the chops and grow them. Use the workplace to find who will do the work and put the effort to learn and step up, and who will rise to their level of incompetence. It doesn’t work that way anymore- most companies are meat grinders just turning and burning employees and “contractors” for what they can squeeze out before they quit. There’s no incentive in absolute profit for companies to keep skilled workers or develop them. Only the top talent at the top companies has any value and only until one of the two finds a better deal. So that’s sad.

Agreed. Keep leverage so it doesn't bounce or richochete, take your time, and then don't point it towards anyone.
