Hello, am LGBT
Unlike these people, I really don't give a shit about excessive representation, gay people are rare and superheroes aren't really a gay thing. As long as you don't shit on gays and say we should die I don't give a fuck. Please don't associate normal LGBT people to these idiots who just want attention for their status because we ain't all brain dead as it may appear
Hello, Im LGBT too. I also dont care AND never once did I feel the need for the representation? I mean, the stories are written and we know the profiles. It would be different if there was a lgbt character and they erased it (different that it being rather silent as it isnt key to the plot, like Valkyrie bisexuality, thats ok) then i would raise an eyebrow but man, things are fine, I love them as they are
How would you and @poison_kat feel about using TLGBQ instead as an acknowledgement of what Trans people currently are facing? Sort of a mark of respect.
I'm just mad that they're getting brownie points for lgbtq representation when there wasn't really any. Have it, or don't have it, just don't pretend that you do.
An estimated 4.5 percent of the American population is openly gay, with more in the closet. Statistically, it makes sense to have at least one gay superhero. They're not a rare breed. As for "superheroes not really being a gay thing", I feel like if you have a personality outside of your sexuality superheroes can definitely be gay.
And in the comics there are, its just that it really hasnt been relevant to plots, its just another detail of their being, not interfering with their more important skills and what they bring to the actual plot (as it should be)
Shouldn’t it be TLGBQ now to inform people that Trans are currently going through the greatest discrimination. Compared to lesbian and gay Trans people are definitely suffering the most now.
TLGBQ just seems like a mark of respect and public acknowledgement.
What...?
Are you seriously offended over the fact that a community designed to bring equality to specific groups of people isn't taking time out of their lives to rearrange a bloody ACRONYM to actively PRIORITIZE one set of people in that group over the others (opposite of equality BTW)?
Because if that's what your problem is, then I don't even know where to begin with you. Maybe sign up for the military or something so you have something actually worthwhile to expend all your pent up outrage on-- acronyms are not it, and this will in no way help your cause. If anything it effectively trivializes the group you claim to be trying to defend.
I wasn’t outraged I was just asking a question.
We do symbolic things all the time, I just thought this may something meaningful and a way to get some marketing attention.
Say whatever you want but the community is annoying and toxic af.
As if it we're competing with the vegans.

Thank you for the answer.
Also, you seem to be confusing "being a gay thing" with "being able to be gay".
TLGBQ just seems like a mark of respect and public acknowledgement.
