I haven't really done any digging on the reasoning or if there's a clear answer I'm just unaware of, but something about Endgame that bothered me is that...Thor is the one with the lightning powers right? why is it that Cap can use it when holding mjolnir? Is Thor nearby just electrocuting Cap as a boost, because as far as I know, the hammer isn't where the lightning originates.

While I definitely don’t believe that everything special about Captain America came out of a bottle, the hammer isn’t really the proof of that. The only other one who could wield the hammer was... Vision.

But vision was never really a person. It was like scarlet witch had one of those really expensive love dolls.
