one thing that i sadly cant claim to know very well is stuff about ecosystem science and such anything fancier than "the wolves got killed off by people so the deer things ate all the plants and fucked everything up" however i do remember reading a thing talking about how the lose of the little fuckers wouldnt do much damage at all as nothing uses them as their primary food source or even as a secondary food source, they dont serve a ecosystem purpose like decomposing stuff for example and their negative effects with spreading multiple sicknesses to multiple animals including humans being removed from the equation would have a far heavier positive impact than the negative impact of losing them would have.
“In other news- the plague vaccine mutated in the common mosquito and now they are spreading more evolved version of long dead diseases we can’t treat...”
Ecologist here :)
The best way to explain the impacts that vaccine mosquitoes would have on us, other animals, and the interrelationship between the 3 is to think of it like predicting the weather. What would be the precise weather be like next year at this date and at this second.
