A better option is to just delete the last three letters of "youtube" in the URL, so that it says "yout". It's a site I put more faith in.

I just have Atube catcher downloaded on my PC. It's a free app that downloads YouTube videos, it lets you choose the quality and file type and as far as I know it doesn't show ads or beg you for money.

Video4k downloader also works wonders, and the free version lets you automatically download playlists up to 25 vids.
