Actually, if you eat/drink acid stuff during your breakfast (like coffee, orange juice, an apple...), brushing your teeth just after can damage the enamel, which is temporarily weakened by acids. Then, brushing your teeth before your breakfast is actually a way better solution.
I don't eat breakfast at home, but at hotels I brush before AND after breakfast. The first time is because I feel gross otherwise, the second time is to remove suspect particles of weetabix.
