The funny thing is I bet they have to make sure the master never puts in a demogorgon or mind flayer so they don't trigger his PTSD. Jokes aside, this was such a good depiction of how friends start to grow apart. He's stuck in a part of his life that was before things changed for the worse, and his friends are moving on without him. It's tragic and beautifully portrayed
