Just in case anyone's interested, there's a few things with the post that you should be aware of:
1. The site the information came from is a knowingly far-right site. The article itself is filled with false and misleading information. One such thing concerns testosterone levels, with the site arguing that Cece's T levels were higher than that of her competitors, when in fact, her levels were lower than that of ciswomen due to T suppressors. The NCAA has a requirement for transwomen to be on T suppressors for at least 1 year before they can compete. Of course, there's likely certain effects of T, such as her height, that could give her somewhat of an advantage, but ongoing effects would be minimized, if not gone altogether.
2. Cece's record before transitioning isn't nearly as bad as the article makes it out to be. Her 'Before' record can be found under the name 'Craig Telfer.' Guests aren't allowed to post links otherwise I'd link two pages here.
3. A website known as 'Outsports' published an article with statements from Cece and her coach outlining various things, such as her performance before and after transitioning.
Someone who has been on testosterone for most of their life/years will have a significant advantage over someone who hasn't, period. It doesnt matter if at that specific event or competition their levels were elevated and the science is pretty clear on it... the effects arent minimal and the medical science behind this is clear, has been researched, and published by actual medical doctors and researchers so I'm not sure why guest is making this a far right/transphobic thing... its fact. Also not sure labeling transitioning as good or bad makes sense, it's just something someone is doing and this is destructive to your own argument so careful with your wording here.
Point and case, Brock Lesner could start the transitioning process tomorrow, not have a professional fight for a year, leap back into professional fighting and I guarantee you he would wreck EVERYONE.
I have no problem with someone becoming whoever they want to be, but that doesn't suddenly null and void the facts and medical science as we know it. It's weird that this conversation is even being had.
Also, please do thorough research because your statements arent entirely correct here. Transitioning isnt about suppressing testosterone it's about rebalancing testosterone and estradiol levels, and someone transitioning from Male to Female will always naturally produce more testosterone... particularly in high stress/adrenaline scenarios like sports.
Not meaning to be rude, but I'm getting the idea that my post wasn't very clear, so I'll restate a few things:
1. I acknowledged that there's advantages to having had T for as long as she did and was simply highlighting that her T levels were lower than ciswomen at the time of the event, as the article stated otherwise.
2. I'm not making it a far-right/transphobic thing. The site the post is based off of is known to be both, and biased journalists are known to use misleading and/or false information. This was the case here and can be seen throughout the article.
3. The article made the point of saying her T levels were higher than her competitors, despite that being false due to T suppressors. Never did I say that transitioning was about suppressing T. I'm trans myself and have yet to go on any T blockers/suppressors.
I probably shouldn't be able to use the 3 turn chess move strat to abuse people who have no idea how to play chess, but if they open that opportunity you can bet your ass I'm gonna do it.
Anyway... Why not just make 5 divisions? Male, Female, transition before 21 to male, transition before 21 to female... then everyone else.
edit: what do we do if someone that would qualify for the special olympics transitions?
Though I personally don't have anything against having multiple divisions, doing so could potentially mean not having enough competitors in the new divisions.
I can be petty and say this is another form of male oppression of females. Women already earn less than men in certain jobs and now they won't even be able to win in athleticism because some men come and take those victories under the guise of transitioning.
