I had a great fear for one of my cats because she would scratch and bite me, I had nightmares for days all about her. Now she is too old to fight back and instead threatens me by purring loudly like a revving engine before curling into a ball on my chest. Basically, my point is I am still terrified of this specific cat but now she can't do anything to hurt me. So, I get why you wouldn't like em, they can be pretty scary.
Not really scared about their mortal scratches, I just never found them as perfect companions (on my case, not talking generally), dogs on the other hand have always brought joy to my life, I really wish I could have one, I've never had a doggo
Oh that makes sense, they aren't really companions as much as they are friends who come and go. They are very independent whilst dogs are far more loyal.
