So, important questions
1. Does anyone know I restarted my life? Either when I was six or when I catch back up?
2. Where does the money come from? Do I get a winning lottery ticket, am I given the money is a legal give away? Or do I have money and no way to explain where it came from? Because while not paying the taxes on 10 million dollars sounds nice-it results in a lot of legal issues when you actually try to spend that money.
10 millions sound tempting but like one of the comment, I can't help but thinking about the legal issues and the economy.
I was super cute when I was 6 but thinking about all the pains id have to go through again makes it less cute, all the people that leave for reasons and how I could do nothing about it.
So yea, 10 millions, I'm smart and ive studied stuffs, I can deal with it. Pains in another hand, I'm useless when it comes to emotions.
at which point i would sue them for negligent use of a minors money, which in the US minors have the same rights to property as an adult, their parents just have a responsibility to care for the child and are legally able to take temporary possession a child's property. If a single cent of that money was spent on something other than the child's welfare by the parents then they are breaking the law.
Red, I'd be able to make way more than 10 mil. just in investments. I'd also take advantage of my renewed elasticity in my brain to learn other languages faster.
But would you get renewed elasticity? Realistically the only way you know everything you know know is if your adult brain jumps into your 6 year old body. Which raises some questions about hormone interactions. Also, assuming otherwise, would you also loss your brain development as well, causing impaired reasoning skills?
"realistically the only way..."
realistic doesnt come into it. A person cannot have their current "self" sent back in time to a previous version of themselves. the prompt does not say that your brain is being moved so your brain is not being moved.
Alright-so we are assuming your six year old brain granted your current knowledge?
Not only is this impossible from a physics perspective [time travel and brain relocation- theoridically possible] moreover is causes other issues.
You may know everything- but you lack the decision making and rational thought advancements your brain made. You would be able to learn language easier-but you would also struggle to problem solve relative to your current ability. Sure you have more experience to what things have and haven't worked-and you may even know why. But you are going to be impaired in reasoning out new solutions or accounting for consequences you haven't actually faced.
So you'd find new ways to get into trouble. And with years of extra knowledge, you actually have more tools to get in trouble.
I agree you'd be resetting your problem solving capabilities but it wouldn't be as impaired as you think. It would depend entirely on the person. Now you would still be effected by hormones as you grow. So things like your temper, if it was a problem when you were a child, would still be an issue but you would I assume also have developed more coping mechanisms. If you have ADD or ADHD you'd be able to recognize what's going on. You may not be able to just solve all your childhood troubles but you would be now in a position to get help, describe the help you need, and for what, that you originally couldn't have. Now physically your brain would have to have all the pathways your adult brain has in the order it has for your memories to exist. I imagine you'll lose many fine details as you grow as new pathways form just like you would presumably have lost of your childhood. To give example if something happened when you were 15 and you're 30 now and you go back to 6 that means it will be/
have been 24 years since the event happened the first time. How many details can you recall from 24 years ago? Granted all this is speculation since there is absolutely no way to know for sure how anything would work should this situation actually happen. I for one, would like it to happen though. Risks and all.
Or y'know ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
