When my kid was in kindergarten I would use sandwich cutters to make her sandwiches into dolphins, hearts, dinosaurs, and even each holiday had like pumpkins or Christmas trees lol.
I also give her pop corn or chips. Plus some kind of dessert like go gurt or pudding or something home made like brownies or cupcakes or Nutella rolls.
Sometimes give her Mac and cheese or baby cheese quesadillas lol
She loved her lunches. I always made them so cute and always added a cute sticker.
1st grade she said she got tired of lunches and wanted to eat the school lunch. So I stopped making her lunches. But if she begged for then again I would do it. And now that she is older there be more options and such but it remain cute lol
I actually just go home to lunch cause honestly, unless it's fancy restaurant food, it won't stand a chance against my mother's cooking.
Her food doesn't taste the best and some are a mess but it feels comforting to eat her food.
I'd eat most of my mother's cooking happily but I'm always extremely picky when it comes to brought food.
