Yes. International but not US. so 40 degrees in America is assumed to be 40F by Americans. Of course we could both be wrong and assuming it’s Celsius could be wrong as well- it could be kelvin.
I live in Melbourne Australia, hottest i've experienced here was 48C, or 118F, it stands out because that day, a PE teacher, sat in the shade and told her kids to run in the sun, one girl died from heat exhaustion. Never knew what happened to the teacher after that
