Yes. It did hurt but if I had the choice, I'd meet them again.
I also feel the same about my cat, I fear the day she'll leave but no pain will be able to erase the happiness she brings me.

Isn't that pretty much describing any pet you could ever have? Even though they're so cute and sweet little and you think to yourself I'm going to love you for every second of your life. And in the wee back of your head this little bitty voice is telling you you know it's going to die right. And it is going to hurt so much when they're gone. But you get that puppy or kitten are worse God forbid a fish they die so fast.

They left. And it’s fine. If something is fading away and the other person cannot revert back the same energy as you, inspite of efforts by you, it’s just better that they leave.
