Then find a guy wearing a Bob Marley shirt, or a white guy with dreads, or anyone who is listening to reggae.... or just start drawing weed leafs in class and eventually someone will notice and ask you.
Honestly, I've never had to seek it out; my first dealer was through the friend that just asked if I wanted to smoke a blunt one day, have never been dry since. Whenever I moved I'd just start asking people that looked like they smoked. It never took long.
Back where I used to live the police tried not to be found by the dealers. They knew where they operated (the street next to mine) and never went there. So happy I quit this rathole.
Spoiler alert: the police mostly don’t really care about nonsense. They have their biases- there are reasons (we know race, socioeconomic status etc. CAN be some- but some police just really HATE people who speed in school zones or who run stop signs or who drive certain cars etc. etc....) but most cops aren’t looking for a 20 odd year old kid smoking weed or selling a few Ritalin. If no one complains about you- if there isn’t a media panic over small time drug dealers at XYZ school, if your presence isn’t causing a criminal ecosystem to form, if your fallout is contained behind closed doors or to an area they consider mostly not worth bothering to do much except keep the crime inside its borders... they don’t much care unless they are bored or you run it in their faces or piss them off.
If they wanted to dedicate the time to busting a small time dealer- they could find you. They don’t generally have the resources and it generally isn’t worth their time even if they do- unless they think you can lead them “up the chain.” Often a small time dealer won’t have enough on them for a solid conviction- and depending... Many small busts don’t amount to any meaningful sentence. You’re back out. If you do go in- what did they do? Take a college kid and instead of a degree, send them to jail to go from a little biznatch slinging nickel bags to a felon with a record who’s been through jail and likely picked up some things on the way? That’s how you turn an overall productive member of society into a career offender more than anything.
Most cops aren’t stupid. They walk a line between their duty to uphold the law “lawful good” style, and a knowledge of the system that tells them enforcing by the book often does more harm than good- ruins lives, results in tying up resources and administrative work for them that could be better served on crimes that REALLY hurt people. The harder the drugs the more likely they’ll come of course. Selling some weed and maybe a few pills... no OD’s etc? Probably no problem. Selling $100k of weed and pills a month? Problem. Kids dying or having drug related issues? Problem. Selling Heroine? If they catch wind of that they’re a lot more likely to come down on you than if you’re selling some weed.
