They're interesting. The ones after this generation came with a labyrinth of tubes built in to the actual rubber so the water wouldn't slosh so much.

My friend had this exact bed and I would get seasick sitting on it. The couple times I tried to sleep in it didn't go well.
My ex-step dad used to have one. He hated when I'd get on it because he didn't trust me as I was a kid. Anyway, they're alright, but I wouldn't want one for myself.
