I try to only buy manuals because A) they're cheaper B) nobody knows how to drive them so they get stolen less and C) better gas mileage.

Modern automatic transmission tech has render them equal in fuel mileage. But you could replace your c) with 'they are bad ass'

Heh, I'm not sure my Ford Focus is all that bad ass, but I will replace it with "drives much better in the snow."

Just admit you like manual over automatic for the same reason I prefer the 1911 to the M9.
It's oldschool, comfortable, and feels cool.
