My wife's parents had a Bernese Mountain dog on their farm. I played with Ike when he was a puppy and looked forward to seeing him everytime we drove down to visit. Seven years later we were all mourning his death due to old age. A wonderful breed, but that 6-8 year shelf life is an absolute deal breaker for me.
I love that video of him taking a very formal meeting and press op, then his Dog just wanders in for pets.
