They sound like they’re in pain- but people not messaging you isn’t an “incel” thing or even a societal norm. Most cultures- even American culture- generally people check up on the bereaved after a death. This person has shitty friends and family- and/or- we are only getting part of the story- depression and other psychological conditions can make people FEEL like no one cares or is giving them attention- even when objectively people ARE.

This post illustrates that while the language used was harsh and hyperbolic- “incels” like this person largely are miserable, lonely people. The problem is that negative mind states lead to toxic world views. Toxic world views cause problems with social interaction or cause people to see problems in social interaction where there really aren’t. This then reinforces the toxic world view and the negative emotions and creates a spiral.

These spirals CAN be broken- not always, and it isn’t usually quick or easy. It often takes professional help and medication to break out of, that and possibly years or a lifetime of behavioral coaching and positive influences and reinforcement. But largely this just reinforces the general sentiment- incels tend to be people who feel small inside or want to turn the misery inside themselves into the world- because admitting that WE are often the problem is much harder and more unpleasant than believing the world or someone else is to blame.

The sentiment against incels can be justified in largely the same way as many other groups comprised of maladjusted people. Chiefly that there isn’t a catharsis in let them “work it out” or gather in groups- merely an enabling of continued dysfunction and a reinforcement of the toxic beliefs in an “echo chamber.” Incels are people too- and most people who behave badly have a sob story of how they came to be that way. We should try and keep in mind the world is better if we can be a part of helping break their toxic thinking than simply mocking or antagonizing- but at the same time- we are only human too, and unlike a therapist we aren’t getting paid to put up with peoples bad behavior. At some point a person has to decide to change, you can’t help someone that doesn’t want help.

Fellow ingels and lonelyhearts, I propose we gather to create a new society of mutually supportive, caring persons. After the virus and hate riots, we shall quietly and unseen move to take over a series of small towns in proximity to one another. Then larger towns , small cities and so on. For "some reason" ... Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok and other specific web sites just "will not work on the wifi here." People must talk. Barnes & Nobles in every town, small non chain coffee shops, PutPut golf, go kart race town, noise ordinances enforces by concrete truck filling your car if too loud. City council & mayor elected by ballot, but change every year (person campaigns in August only, any other day of year illegal, if 60+ % vote for them in November, they get their turn as mayor at start of new year) . Make a new society, by broken people, for broken people.

Police your own neighborhood and deal with criminals like ye olden days, with the mob of close friends you can hang out with. Make a new society, by broken people, for broken people.

They did that. It’s called Australia. It turned out pretty well actually, but Ausies have sex appeal. A major part of being able to start a society is being able to get laid- otherwise societies don’t tend to last long.
