This is a CAKE! My wife made this for the 4th anniversary of our local knitting/yarn store in Washington. The entire thing is edible! AMAZING!

I will never understand buying an extremely elaborate cake for really young kids. (I see its for a yarn store but it makes me thing of those cakes) I get making it special in that moment but no 2 year old sees an extremely life like cake and is any more impressed than getting cake in general. Plus will your 1 yr old remember the twelve tier masterpiece you paid 800$ for? No, sure you might but I think that sorta money should be saved for a more useable(?) happiness. Like getting tickets to a theme park or a new toy
Maybe if you’re that kinda person but I’ve never had or been to a birthday party so I wouldn’t know the strange social constructs of rich people parties
Bruh
I have good tactile memory... you made me imagine that in full detail. Knitted fabrics are really slippery between the teeth but if you did manage to cut it, it would be hella fibrous and it would get stuck in your teeth. And depending on the fabric, it might even have that little crunch that you get from stuff like sand.

I had a classmate in elementary school who would bite his long sleeves when he was wearing a long sleeved tee or a sweater. Just the thought of fabric between teeth makes my skin crawl, and for so long I thought I was in the minority lol.

It could be a demonstration of money to the other parents.
