I might be mistaken, but don't they use child actors? Acting is a form of work, work requires labor (even if some may disagree) therefore child actors are also child laborers.
Good point. They’re an exception we make because mental/emotional harm is not as immediate and is more subtle than bodily harm.(at least a that’s how I see it)
I recently was instructed about modern slavery and labour, and I don’t think this counts. It’s slavery when they’re forced to stay without an option to leave (or feel like they’re not able to leave)
These kids would definitely have guardians that ensure their safety on set.
I mean yeah. A child working is performing child labor and thus child labor isn’t inherently slavery

There's exceptions to child labor laws in the entertainment industry. There are also a lot of restrictions on hours of work per day, among other laws to protect the rights of the child.
