Think of it this way, you don't have to buy a bed AND a table to get it to eye level. Throw down a mattress and we good.

I'm against useless clutter too, and I smash every "live laugh love" sign I see, but also that looks like a relatively large and well situated apartment so to me it seems like a waste of money to pay high rent for such an apartment when all you have in it is a TV, a chair and probably a mattress. It'd be wiser (and more eco friendly!) if you really have such a Spartan lifestyle to invest into an off grid tiny house at that point. (That may just be my bias tho cause I fricking love tiny houses)

Or maybe it's close enough to his hangouts and job to be convenient, he enjoys the view, or the address impresses prospective one night stands.

Lol I understand the first two, the third is a bit of stretch unless he literally has a one night stand every day, which... well I'm not gonna judge, it just sounds like an empty lifestyle to me personally. But yeah I can definitely understand the location aspect but still I'm pretty sure if you don't need much to live, you could find a smaller apartment in the area. Why need a lot of space when you're not planning on using it, right?
