i used to be great at math in school, but i couldn't show the workings out. I could look at an equation, and just write the answer. Obviously this wasn't acceptable, even when the teacher gave an equation, i looked, gave an answer in front of them, but no, had to show the workings.
I used to do that too. And always lost points. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t doing very complicated math ... I think it was in 9 or 10th grade. But there were some problems that I could tell the answer. Or that I could easily see a different way to get the answer. So I would get partial credit for correct answer but wrong work. And then when I did the right method, I’d still get partial credit for the right work but the answer.
i was doing advanced mathmatics, if i showed the workings out, i'd get it wrong, so i just wrote the answer, then gibberish in between. when i had to explain the workings out, the teacher looked so confused, and just said "fine"
