Haha, even though I've never used one myself, between working for the Forest Service and working for a tree care company, I know a bit about how to make proper cuts.
Cutting a tree is as easy as aiming the sharp end and shooting

@nelson And pulling a tooth is as easy as grabbing a pair of pliers and pulling. I'd still rather see a dentist for it. And I'll pay arborists to prune my trees so they maintain proper structure, health, and crown ratio.
....I'm crying...or laughing. I can't decide which. Mr. Born is right. When the tree fell it created a lot of pressure on the side touching the ground so when you cut from the top the cut will close as you cut further. This is why I ignore people who ask me for a quote then say "I'll get my husband to do it." Sure. He's expendable.
I'MGONNA CUT FROM THE TOP DOWN! (chainsaw gets stuck).. hmmm, I'm gonna cut top... down (second chainsaw get stuck).... curiouser and curiouser... I'm... and let me finish... am going to cut... from the ... bo. ... side?... no, top down, has to be top down... HAS to be.
The implication of the picture is that either three people did this exact same stupid thing, one right after the other... or someone trusted this lunatic with - not two, but THREE chainsaws
It was the same idiot. He ran back to the truck to get a new saw to cut the last one out until he ran out of saws. I guarantee it.

Me reading comments. "Who is Mr. Born? Oh, that's supposed to be me!" Lol, that actually made me snort out loud. Thank you for that!
Riyria and Mistborn are two of my favorite book series.
I dunno if you guys have watched The Dragon Prince on Netflix (if not, you totally should) but I literally felt like Commander Gren when he's translating and gets all surprised. "That's me! I'm Commander Gren." Yes, yes you are, my freckled strawberry cinnamon roll.
Thanks for the explanation
