If you are having trouble with the dholl recipe. Inform me, I will give you a recipe for another wrap-style food. This one is way simpler. And you serve it like the dholl puri with the chutney and curries.

I'd never heard of this, I'm adding the ingredients to the grocery list! Tha'ts gonna be a full discovery meal, with one ingredient I'd never heard of (the dal gram) and one I've only read about in a book last month (the chayote), I'm excited^^

Wait, @omar1992 where are you from? You have a lot of Indian food knowledge. And we call it Falooda rather than Alouda, but yeah boba ain't got nothing on it.

Nah, this one is simpler than falouda.

@spookykink58 Mauritius, a mixture of every race. The alouda is indeed based on an indian drink. The dal puri is a mixture of Caribbean, African and Indian.

Ok, so! I tried the recipe, and although I messed up the dholl puri in itself texture-wise (it looks like some sort of naan bread^^'), it all tastes *good*. Thanks for making me discover this dish!!
I'm probably going to try it again in about 10 days, so maybe this time I'll get it right.
