I've read "So You Want to be a Wizard". It's quite good.

I read the first of the discworld series and I actually thought that was where "Imagine Dragons" had gotten their name from for awhile

Keep reading the series. The first few are good, but the next few are much better. So much gold.

Just… ok, if you don’t have the war caveat, read EVERYTHING by T Kingfisher. So far as I know, the author started that pseudonym late in her career, so it’s ALL pretty polished and well-developed.

Also I think I’m required to recommend Ari Marmell. Hot Lead, Cold Iron or Thief’s Covenant or Ash and Ambition or The Goblin Corps.

I read several of these titles in middle school/high school and no one I knew had read them so it's really nostalgic to see them written here and know that people have read them and new people might read them too
